1940 Edition book, "The Official Mixer's Manual" by Patrick Gavin Duffy. This manual was written for home and professional use and was a guide for preparing and serving over 900 different drinks.

It was widely used and considered the most reliable source of bartending/drink mixing by amateur and professional bartenders all over the world.

It contains detailed step-by-step instructions for mixing tons of different drinks including: highballs, smashes, toddies, sours, sangarees, frappes, etc.

The book is hardcover and the inside is ring-bound with 8 metal rings. It was published by Halcyon House: New York and measures 8.25" long and 5.75" wide.

In antique condition, it has some ring-marks and discoloration on the cover. The inside pages are yellowed and have some water/drink spills, and the front inside page has some pencil-written notes.

Note: the book does have a "smokey" smell and most likely came from a smoking home originally.

A terrific book to add to a collection or for someone who wants to know how to make all kinds of amazing cocktails!
