This is a rare piece of vintage pottery made by the famous Bill Vinton of Deer Country Kiln. It is signed by Vinton-- he had a studio at Kezar Lake in Lovell, Maine and made many of these pieces from the mid 1950s to 1970s. It also has Deer Country Kiln signed on the bottom.

This piece features a yellow wildflower design-- the bowls were made by forming the pottery around rocks and decorating the interior by pressing natural materials into them--then glazing, firing and painting to finish the result. The bowl measures 7.25" long and 6.25" wide. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.

A great little piece of New England to own or give as a gift!
